KPX Tractors Eschews Dealer Network to Offer Industry's Lowest Price on Backhoes Attachments
Phoenix, AZ (Vocus) January 30, 2008 -- KPX Tractors is unlike its competitors in many ways. With a research and development budget that dwarfs its marketing budget, KPX is more focused on building a reliable backhoe than it is on presenting a fancy image. Another difference is their method of distribution. The age old tractor industry standard follows a simple formula: sell your product to dealers and let them distribute to the public, after marking up the product by several thousand dollars. While this offers advantages in marketing and allowing customers to touch and feel the item before they buy, it also leads to high costs, which are always passed on to the consumer. By the time a dealer pays for local marketing, rent, staff, and takes their share of the profits, they typically require a 30-50% markup on tractor implements. KPX has a new approach: shipping straight to the consumer.
With KPX Tractors, there are no dealers or resellers. There is simply a manufacturing and distribution facility in Phoenix, Arizona where KPX's engineers assemble each unit and inspect them for quality before shipping directly to the customer. Because KPX is able to offer a high quality product to tractor owners at a wholesale price, business has boomed. KPX has been the fastest growing backhoe manufacturer for several years running, and they are now the largest distributor of 3 point backhoe attachments in the United States.
"There is nothing wrong with a traditional tractor dealership. They offer plenty of services to their customers, and most of their customers are happy to deal with them. But the fact is, if you buy from a dealership, you are going to pay thousands more for the same item because the dealership takes a hefty profit on each sale. It's simply not our method of distributing our product. We prefer to save costs by shipping directly to the customer and pass the savings onto the customer. So you won't see a KPX Backhoe in your local tractor dealership, but if you talk to someone who owns one, they'll tell you it's a powerful machine at a great price." says David Petersen, general manager of KPX Tractors.
KPX Backhoes produces three lines of backhoes for tractors ranging from 18 HP to 100+ HP. The backhoes, which weigh between 900 - 1100 pounds, feature rugged power, digging depths from 6 to 8 feet. They can operate on nearly any tractor (John Deere, Kubota, Jinma, Massey Ferguson, Ford, New Holland, and most others) that has a 3 point hitch. The backhoe attachments are powered by a tractor's hydraulics or via the tractor's PTO drive. Backhoe buckets are available in 8", 12", and 16" sizes.
About KPX Tractors: Based in Phoenix, AZ, KPX Tractors manufactures and distributes robust backhoe attachments, PTO pumps, tractor wood chippers, forklift attachments, lawn mowers, and other tractor implements.
